About the Role
Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of a growing New York-based organization for a Junior Data Analyst to join their analytics team. This fully remote role is a great fit for someone early in their career who loves digging into numbers, spotting trends, and turning raw data into insights that help teams make smarter decisions. Day to day, you’ll pull data from multiple sources, clean and organize it, and build reports and dashboards that stakeholders across the business actually use.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and organize data from internal and external sources
- Build and maintain recurring reports and dashboards
- Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Support senior analysts with ad hoc data requests
- Document data definitions, processes, and report logic
- Assist in validating data accuracy across systems
- Present findings in clear, digestible formats for stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on reporting needs
- Monitor key metrics and flag unusual changes
- Help maintain data quality standards and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience
- Basic proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- Familiarity with SQL or willingness to learn quickly
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate technical findings in plain language
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Exposure to Tableau or Power BI is a plus
- Basic understanding of statistics
- Strong problem-solving mindset
