Job Summary:

Accounting Specialist – Remote Job USA, The Accounting Specialist plays a key role in maintaining the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of Give Interactive. This part-time position is responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable management, reconciliations, and payroll coordination. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable, with a strong grasp of accounting principles and experience supporting finance operations in a small to mid-sized organization. Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly classified and reconciled.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments, client invoicing, and expense reimbursements.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations on a regular basis.
  • Assist with month-end and quarter-end closings, including journal entries and preparation of internal financial reports.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and related schedules for management or board review.
  • Collaborate with external accountants or auditors to support year-end close and tax filings.

Payroll Coordination:

  • Prepare and process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring accurate compensation, benefits, and deductions.
  • Manage commission payments and ensure all payroll transactions are properly approved and recorded.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable payroll laws and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with third-party payroll providers and benefit administrators as needed.

Operational & Compliance Support:

  • Maintain accurate documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support financial compliance through timely filings, renewals, and required reporting.
  • Assist in improving financial workflows and implementing process efficiencies.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team and leadership as needed.

Key Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll processing.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with accounting and payroll software systems; comfort adapting to new tools and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.

Compensation & Hours

  • Part-time (approximately 20–30 hours per week).
  • Compensation commensurate with experience (hourly or salary).
