About This Role

GovCIO is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs during the transition from VistA to the new Federal EHR environment. This role focuses on data monitoring and report management throughout VistA Pre and Post Cutover activities — a highly organized, analytical process that tracks data movement and legacy software usage across the modernization effort. This is a fully remote position within the United States, with core working hours Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM ET.

Responsibilities

• Manage data cutover preparations and monitor cutover activities
• Gather and produce cutover status reports during pre and post cutover phases
• Translate complex issues into concise, well-written narratives
• Develop and maintain summary data dashboards and workflow automation tools
• Create clear, concise data communication materials for internal and external audiences
• Conduct research and analysis to support delivery of report artifacts
• Track, forecast, and report on project progress, metrics, and challenges
• Formulate responses for the weekly executive report

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations Research, or related field + 5 years relevant experience
• 5 years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Solid experience with MS Office and collaborative tools (Teams, Power Apps, Jira, Copilot, ChatGPT/Claude, etc.)
• Expert/advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerApps
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills
• Must be able to obtain and maintain VA Suitability/Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting VA OIT or VA Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) initiatives
• Familiarity with Oracle Health (Cerner) implementation or sustainment
• Experience on geographically dispersed, remote teams
• Experience with large-scale healthcare modernization / digital transformation projects
• SharePoint and Power Apps administration experience for dashboards and enterprise communication
