01 About the Role
Meta is seeking experienced Data Scientists to join the team and drive impact across various product areas. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify and solve complex problems using data and analysis, shape product development, quantify new opportunities, and ensure products bring value to users and the company.
You’ll guide teams using data-driven insights, develop hypotheses, and employ rigorous analytical approaches to test them — telling data-driven stories, presenting clear insights, and building credibility with stakeholders as part of a world-class analytics community.
02 Responsibilities
- Work with complex data sets to solve challenging problems using analytical and statistical approaches
- Apply technical expertise in quantitative analysis, experimentation, and data mining to develop product strategies
- Identify and measure success through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring key metrics
- Partner with cross-functional teams to inform and execute product strategy and investment decisions
- Build long-term vision and strategy for programs and products
- Collaborate with executives to define and develop data platforms and instrumentation
- Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders
- Define success metrics, forecast changes, and set team goals
- Support developing roadmaps and coordinate analytics efforts across teams
03 Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience with data querying languages (SQL), scripting languages (Python), or statistical/mathematical software (R, SAS, Matlab)
- 8+ years leading analytics work in an IC capacity, working with Engineering and cross-functional partners on data-influenced product planning and strategy
- Experience leading complex analytics projects across Engineering, PM/TPM, Analytics, and Finance stakeholders
- Experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, and experimentation/causal inference methods
- Experience communicating complex technical topics clearly and precisely
04 Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years communicating analysis results to leadership teams to influence strategy
- Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field
- 10+ years of complex quantitative analysis in product analytics
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact
- Experience implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality reviews)
- Ongoing AI skill development (prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration)
05 Compensation
- Base salary: $210,000 – $281,000 per year
- Plus bonus, equity, and benefits
- Individual compensation determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location
