ABS Kids has an exciting remote opportunity for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including employee relations, administering benefits, workers� compensation, leave, and enforcing company policies and procedures. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

Our Administrative Support team members play a vital role in advancing our mission to make a difference in the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder and their families. What Would You Do

Performs HR customer service function by answering frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex issues to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management

Maintains accurate records of employee attendance, including arrival and departure times, tracking and documenting attendance patterns and trends, while identifying and addressing attendance related issues promptly

Administers attendance policies and procedures consistently across the organization

Communicates attendance expectations to employees and provides clarification when necessary

Ensures compliance with company attendance policies

Acts as a point of contact for employees regarding attendance-related inquiries

Collaborates with HR and supervisors to address attendance concerns and discrepancies

Generates attendance reports on a regular basis for management review

Maintains and update employee records, including personnel files, disciplinary actions, employee relations investigation documents attendance records, and performance evaluations while ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records

Ensures compliance with legal requirements related to employment documentation

Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately

Administers HR tasks related to on-boarding, cross-boarding, and off-boarding processes as needed

Assists with the completions of I-9 forms, verifying I-9 documentation and maintaining I-9 files as needed

Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers

Assists in planning and supporting company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment, town halls, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans

Assists with the preparation and execution of the annual performance review process

Schedules meetings as requested by the Director/VP of HR

Who are we looking for?

Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and/or equivalent experience

At least two years related experience required

PHR credential preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
